Scope

PharmacoEconomics promotes the continuing development and study of pharmacoeconomics, outcomes research and quality-of-life assessment providing a practical economic background to informed clinical prescribing decisions and allocation of healthcare resources. Specific areas of interest include health technology assessment, economic and humanistic burden of disease, cost effectiveness analyses, utility estimation, reimbursement decision making and related methodological issues. Additional enhanced features (including slide sets, videos and animations) can be published with articles; these are designed to increase the visibility, readership and educational value of the journal’s content. In addition, articles published in PharmacoEconomics may be accompanied by plain language summaries to assist readers in understanding important medical advances. All manuscripts are subject to peer review by international experts. Letters to the Editor are welcomed and will be considered for publication. PharmacoEconomics is the benchmark journal for peer-reviewed, authoritative and practical articles on the application of pharmacoeconomics and quality-of-life assessment to aid healthcare decisions. PharmacoEconomics is dedicated to the clear communicaton of applied and robust pharmacoeconomic original research and reviews for the healthcare decision maker. The journal also offers the ability to create digital features as well as host them.
