Scope
Authors are reminded that Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism is primarily a journal of pharmacology and therapeutics, focused mainly on human research relevant to patient care. The scope of the journal includes studies of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, cost-effectiveness, real world evidence of drug utilisation, safety and effectiveness, as well as conventional randomised controlled trials (phase I-IV studies). High-quality meta-analyses and systematic reviews that provide original information on treatment effects and safety are considered as original research papers. DOM also welcomes manuscripts which report clinical data relating to novel devices, Apps, glucose sensors and insulin pumps used to improve glycaemic control.
