Canadian Psychology publishes generalist articles in areas of theory, research, and practice that are of interest to a broad cross-section of psychologists. Manuscripts with direct relevance to the Canadian context are also appropriate for submission, although the broad interest component takes precedence. The journal publishes systematic reviews and meta-analyses relevant to theory or research in basic and applied areas — for example, neurosciences, cognitive, perception, history and theoretical systems, quantitative, developmental, social, personality, clinical, counselling, educational and school, industrial/organizational, and community. Original, empirical contributions are welcome if large-scale work is involved and the research is of direct relevance to the discipline as a whole.
