Scope
The Journal of Physiology and Biochemistry publishes original research articles on relevant new observations on the different aspects of human physiology and pathophysiology, biochemistry, and related fields. It also publishes mini reviews on those fields. All areas of the physiology are covered, from the molecular to the global organism level. Special emphasis is placed on the integration of those levels in the whole-organism, with the specific contribution of the nervous and endocrine systems. The Journal of Physiology and Biochemistry also welcomes articles on nutritional regulation of metabolism studies and works related to the genomic or proteomic bases of the physiological functions. The journal will not accept manuscripts testing effects of uncharacterized extracts.
