The journal focuses on the latest insights to the roles of the ER stress in the development and progression of relevant human pathological conditions. Involvement of ER stress in human diseases is a fast growing field with tremendous potential to identify novel drug targets. However, most of the work is scattered in various journals dealing with specific diseases. The primary mission of ERSD is to become a central publication venue for all members of the research community working on different aspects of ER function and malfunction in pathogenesis of human diseases, in order to ensure more efficient and productive exchange of research ideas, technologies and therapeutic options.
