Scope
Mammalian Genome aims to publish papers that undertake genetic, genomic and computational approaches for the study of biological and disease systems in mammals.
Mammalian Genome focuses on the experimental, theoretical and technical aspects of genomics and genetics in mouse, human and other species, in particular those aspects bearing on the relationship between gene and phenotype and the elucidation of biological or disease pathways and the associated systems. The journal aims to publish high quality original papers that present novel findings in all areas of mammalian genetic research as well as review articles on areas of topical interest. The journal will also feature commentary and editorial to alert and inform readers of developments in the areas of mammalian genetics and functional genomics. Special emphasis is placed on:
* Diverse genetic approaches to elucidating gene-phenotype relationships, illuminating biological or disease pathways and the associated systems
* Quantitative trait analysis of biological and disease systems with the aim of identifying novel disease loci
* New methodologies for the determination of biological and disease phenotypes
* Identification and application of new computational tools for the analysis of genetic and phenotype data bearing on pathways and systems analysis of cellular and organ systems Exploitation of genetic approaches to the elucidation of cellular and organ systems for the identification of new targets and approaches for disease therapies
