Scope
Pediatric Health, Medicine and Therapeutics is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal publishing original research, reports, editorials, reviews and commentaries. All aspects of health maintenance, preventative measures and disease treatment interventions are addressed within the journal. Practitioners from all disciplines are invited to submit their work as well as healthcare researchers and patient support groups.
The pediatric health disparities section of the journal focuses on research that facilitates our understanding of interventions in addressing unequal treatment that results in unequal outcomes of care across diverse pediatric populations, thus narrowing and ultimately removing pediatric health disparities. With this focus, articles are invited from researchers, clinicians and policy advocates on characterization, epidemiology, control and elimination of disparities (race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, language, disability, geographic locale) in childhood morbidity (incidence, prevalence), access and utilization of care, and mortality; as well as studies on policies and intervention as evidence-based findings on pediatric health disparities narrowing and elimination.
