Scope
The JEADV Clinical Practice (JEACP) is an open access (OA) peer-reviewed publication of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) and a companion title to the well-established Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (JEADV).
The aim of the JEACP is to cater the ever-growing need of the dermatology and venereology community for open access to scientific publications as well as for more clinically-oriented content worldwide. This journal features cutting-edge clinical and educational content, providing practical, hands-on information directly relevant to managing the dermatologist’s and venereologist’s office and the acquisition of state-of-the-art clinical and surgical skills. The JEACP covers all aspects of dermatology, and our target audience includes clinical, surgical and aesthetic dermatologists and venereologists in hospitals or in private practice, as well as researchers, nurses, patients and their caregivers.
The JEACP strives to become a go-to OA resource for everyone keen on staying up-to-date with the management of skin and/or venereal diseases. Our aim is to make the newest scientific findings rapidly available to the community and to this end, every paper undergoes rigorous and fast peer-review. The journal publishes various types of research papers, including pilot and proof of concept studies, study protocols, investigations of innovative technologies in addition to short reports, original and review articles, including multidisciplinary periodical reviews and others. Particular attention will be given to articles that feature case reports with outstanding teaching value and innovative techniques and procedures.
The JEACP is an innovative journal that explores the unlimited possibilities a fully-digital publication has to offer, hence authors are encouraged to include high-quality images, as well as digital media, such as high-quality videos, whenever possible.
The JEACP is a patient-centred journal – in the heart of our mission is the improvement of quality of care for people living with skin and/or venereal diseases. In our Patient’s Corner Section, the journal provides reliable health information and features testimonials, advocacy and thought leadership pieces concerning patient-centred care. Authors are encouraged to include a lay language summary of their research whenever possible. We also invite manuscripts written by nurses, co-created by clinicians and expert patients and patient organisations.
The JEACP values openness and inclusivity in scientific research. We welcome every novel idea and outcome which is backed by solid science. Our internationally-recognized expert Editorial Board is looking forward to receiving submissions from authors all around the world and at every stage of their professional journey.
