Scope
The Journal of Bulgarian Cardiology was first published in 1995 as a scientific body of the Society of Cardiologists in Bulgaria. The first editor-in-chief of the magazine from 1995 to 1996 was Prof. T. Daskalov. The following editors-in-chief are: Prof. N. Gocheva (1996 to 2002), Prof. R. Tarnovska (2003-2008), Prof. D. Raev (2008-2014), Prof. Pl. Gatsov (from 2014-2020), Prof. N. Gocheva (from 2021). Since the beginning of its publication, the magazine has been an important forum of the cardiology community in Bulgaria. On its pages are found both the scientific achievements of Bulgarian medical professionals and important practical guides of the European Society of Cardiology and other scientific journals. The high quality of the scientific production, which finds a place on the pages of the magazine, is our main goal. The journal contains : original articles, reviews, clinical cases , editorial comments, letters to the editor, guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology, announcements of the Society of Cardiologists in Bulgaria and the European Society of Cardiology, materials presented at their meetings, announcements for symposia, congresses and others. The first three species are subject to review with standardized forms, and the rest are subject to expert assessment by the editorial board.
