Scope
Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging emphasizes research advances and technical developments in medical imaging that drive cardiothoracic medicine. Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging provides vital guidance, resources and education to healthcare professionals in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic medicine.
Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging is published, managed, and owned by the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and is published bi-monthly and available online. RSNA adheres to ICMJE’s policies on editorial freedom and does not interfere in the evaluation, selection, scheduling, or editing of individual articles either directly or by creating an environment that strongly influences decisions.

Improve health and patient outcomes through dissemination of cardiac, vascular, and thoracic imaging science, innovations, and education.
Aims
The journal's editor, Suhny Abbara, MD, FACR, FSCCT, invites high-quality manuscripts that:
Show the impact of cardiac, vascular, and thoracic imaging to improve patient diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes;
Demonstrate innovative techniques and procedures in cardiothoracic imaging;
Feature state-of-the-art cardiothoracic images of common and uncommon radiologic conditions;
Present novel or rare radiologic findings of cardiothoracic conditions.
The journal also seeks thoughtful, meaningful reviews and opinion pieces focused on:
Education about cardiothoracic imaging methodologies and best practices;
Detailed presentation of a cardiothoracic disease entity, spanning the whole spectrum of possible imaging findings, disease severity, complications, and imaging pitfalls;
Advances, limitations, or potential improvements in the field of cardiothoracic imaging.
