Scope
EULAR Rheumatology Open (ERO) will be an open-access, peer-reviewed rheumatology journal that publishes original research on rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases, as well as systemic autoimmune diseases. The journal will publish high-quality, peer-reviewed original research covering the full spectrum of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases, systemic autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases, and osteology related to rheumatology, including osteoporosis, spine diseases, and rehabilitation. Clinical and epidemiological research, basic and translational medicine, and important clinical cases will be key components. It will be an online-only, open-access journal aiming for rapid publication through a continuous publication model. All submitted content will undergo peer review prior to publication, and published work will be freely accessible. The new OA journal will feature excellent, cutting-edge reviews on important topics in rheumatology/immunology. It will be a premier journal in rheumatology including digital/AI-related content. Pro/con discussions on hot topics will be a key feature, along with informative case reports, especially those relevant to disease mechanisms or innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. The journal will have a strong international scope with contributions from around the world.
