Scope

Since 1995 the Australian and New Zealand Continence Journal has developed with the mission to promote scholarship and the dissemination of information. From practitioners in the disciplines of medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and from other allied health practitioners working to treat and manage incontinence and promote continence in the community. One of the stated aims of the journal and the Journal Editorial Committee is to assist authors, particularly first time authors, in the preparation of papers for publication. The aims and scope of the journal are to provide a forum for dissemination of current research and practice in the diagnosis, treatment and management of incontinence, and promotion of continence to the wider community. It also acts as a forum and exchange of information for all practitioner stakeholders and consumers. The journal is unique as it is the only journal published, in Australasia and internationally, specialising in continence issues. It is truly multidisciplinary, bringing together the medical specialties of urogynaecology, urology, gastroenterology, gerontology and paediatrics to name a few. The journal also brings together the work of nurses and physiotherapists in the research and management of incontinence and promoting continence health.
