Epidemiology & Prevention , today an organ of the Italian Association of Epidemiology , collects a good part of the best and original Italian experiences in epidemiological research and the study of interventions for prevention and public health. In recent decades E&P has played a role of reference for public health but also for citizens and their different forms of aggregation. The principle that inspired it was, and remains, that epidemiology makes sense if it is functional to prevention and public health and that prevention has very little chance of being realized if it is not based on valid scientific bases and if it does not exist. is the participation of all stakeholders. Updated communication methods, rigorous statistical and epidemiological methodology, validity of the studies and solidity of the interpretation of the results are the solid matrix on which E&P is built. This is accompanied by a strong ethical responsibility towards public health, which today has irreversibly expanded its horizon, and includes in an increasingly conscious way not only human beings, but the entire planet and the changes that man brings. to the universe in which he lives. The ambition is that the offer of new communication, information and training tools, especially through the use of the internet, will make the magazine not only a traditional vehicle for scientific content and analysis, but also a powerful tool available to a community. of interests and values ??that have public health at heart.
