Scope
Continuum aids neurology professionals in improving the clinical care of patients and in demonstrating continued competency. Continuum is the official CME journal of the AAN; an in-depth clinically oriented review journal for the practicing neurologist, residents and fellows, and medical students. Written by authors who are experts in their field, each bimonthly issue contains up-to-date knowledge around a single topic area in neurology geared toward the practicing neurologist.
The goals include disseminating timely review articles to the neurologist in a lively, interactive format; fostering self-assessment and lifelong learning skills; encouraging critical thinking; and strengthening and improving patient care. Continuum will present the highest quality in-depth information on topics in neurology and be the premier CME publication for neurology professionals.
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) has reviewed Continuum and has approved this product as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning and self-assessment program, which is mandated by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) as a necessary component of maintenance of certification. The material presented in Continuum has been made available by the AAN for educational purposes only. It is not intended to represent the only method/procedure for the medical situations discussed but rather intended to present an approach, view, statement, or opinion of the author(s), which may be helpful to others who face similar situations.
