Scope
The Lancet Regional Health – Western Pacific is a new open access journal, part of The Lancet’s global initiative to advocate for health-care quality and access in all regions of the world. The journal fosters the advance of clinical practice and health policy in the Western Pacific region, with the ultimate goal of improving health outcomes. We aspire to increase the quality of regional and national health research. The Lancet Regional Health – Western Pacific is managed by local, experienced editors in Beijing, Shanghai, and Sydney, working in collaboration with our global editorial team.
The journal publishes high-quality original research that illuminates clinical practice and health policy in the Western Pacific region. We also consider relevant reviews, commentaries and opinion pieces. The journal invites submissions on topics pertaining to regional health, including but not limited to infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, child and adolescent health, maternal and reproductive health, aging health, mental health, the health workforce and systems, and health policy.
